De KBVB heeft de scheidsrechters aangeduid die de terugwedstrijd van de finale van de Promotion Play-offs in goede banen moeten leiden. Die finale gaat tussen SK Deinze en Lommel SK en vindt zondag plaats in de Dakota Arena.

Wesli De Cremer zal de wedstrijd leiden. De 31-jarige Brabander is een vaste waarde in 1A (20 aantredens dit seizoen, 87 in zijn carrière) en floot recent ook nog de halve finale tussen Lommel en Zulte Waregem. Toen bracht De Cremer Lommel geluk, want de Limburgers wonnen die wedstrijd met 1-0 waardoor ze nu dus in de finale staan.

In totaal kwam Lommel De Cremer al 10x tegen. Slechts 3x resulteerde dat in een Lommelse zege terwijl er vier duels verloren gingen. Deinze heeft een kleinere geschiedenis met De Cremer. Beide partijen kwamen elkaar nog maar 3x tegen en slechts 1x kon Deinze winnen (in 2016 tegen Heist).

De Cremer wordt aan de twee zijkanten bijgestaan door Michael Geerolf en Lennert Jans; Hannes De Couvreur is de vierde scheidsrechter. Simon Bourdeaud’hui fungeert als VAR.
